Movies are rated for exhibition in Australia by the Office of Film and Literature Classification. Their website is at www.oflc.gov.au/The classifications for films and computer games are G, PG, M, MA 15+, R 18+, X 18+ and RC (Refused Classification).

Computer games cannot be classified R 18+ or X 18+.

The advisory classifications are (G, PG and M) and the legally restricted classifications are MA 15+, R 18+ and X 18+.

The G, PG and M classifications are advisory. There are no laws restricting viewing, buying, playing or selling these films or computer games. However, it is recommended that you use the classification information to help you choose a film or computer game. The classification wording will help you decide on the level of supervision or guidance you may wish to provide to young teenagers and children.

The legally restricted classifications are identified by a black .RESTRICTED. bar beneath the classification symbol. The number and plus sign that form part of the classification indicate the ages of people who are not subject to restrictions. For example, R 18+ means people aged 18 and over are not restricted from seeing, buying, hiring or playing the film or game, but people aged under 18 are.

G (6K) These films and computer games are for general viewing. However, G does not conclusively mean a children's film or game because many of these productions contain content that would be of no interest to children.
The content is very mild.
PG (6K) These films and computer games contain material that a parent might need to explain to younger children.
The content is mild.
M (6K) These films and computer games contain material that requires a mature perspective.
The content is moderate.
MA (6K) People under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian for the duration of the film in the cinema. Parental permission to see an MA 15+ film is not sufficient. People under 15 are not permitted to hire or buy films or computer games classified MA 15+.
The content is strong.
People under 18 cannot see these films in the cinema or buy or hire them. This classification applies only to films.
High impact content.
People under 18 cannot buy or hire these videos and DVDs.
This classification applies to films that contain only sexually explicit content.

Admits given number of people into any regular session on any day.  Excludes special events and private functions.   Can not be used on day of purchase. Must be validated by Staff with Expiry Date. Valid for 6 months. Not valid with any other offer.

MOVIE REWARDS CARD
Free offer to all our customers.  Ask for a Movie Rewards Card and each time you purchase a ticket, ask the staff to mark off your card.  On your fifth movie, receive a free slice of cake; on your tenth visit receive a free movie ticket. 1 card per person and 1 stamp per movie; excludes private functions. Must be validated by Staff with Expiry Date.  Valid for 5 months.  Not valid with any other offer.

2 FOR 1 VOUCHERS
Card must be given to Theatre staff at Candy Bar to receive a ticket prior to entry into auditorium.  Buy one get one free; Free ticket to be used for same movie at the same time.  Can be used any day of the week to regular screenings. Excludes special events and private functions.  Check card for use by date.  Must be validated by Staff with Expiry Date.  Not valid with any other offer.

CORPORATE TICKETS
Card must be given to Theatre staff at Candy Bar to receive a ticket prior to entry into auditorium.  Admits 1 person into 1 movie any day to a regular session. Excludes special events and private functions.  Check Card for use by date. Not valid with any other offer.

COMPLEMENTARY TICKETS
Complementary vouchers must be given to Theatre staff at the Candy Bar for a session ticket.  They cannot be used for “No Free List” films, special events or fundraisers. Some complementary tickets are strictly available for use on a specific film. Complementary vouchers have differing expiry dates which must be adhered to.

ENTRY TO THEATRE
Avoca Beach Picture Theatre is a private business and as such Staff and Management reserve the right to refuse entry or service as they deem fit.

RECORDINGS AND PHOTOGRAPHS
Recordings, videotaping or photography of Avoca Beach Picture Theatre, its staff and patrons or any event or film is strictly prohibited.   Any breech will become a matter of law.  Permission can be sought by written request to the manager; given only at the manager’s discretion.

STUDENT TICKETS
These are available to school students and Campus Central Members of Ourimbah University only. Identification must be presented at time of purchase.

SENIOR & PENSION TICKETS
Seniors and Pension discounts are available to regular sessions and various other events. These discounts are available when one of the following cards is presented at time of purchase NSW Government Seniors for over 60’s, Centrelink Aged Pension for over 60’s, and Disability Pension.
