An update on our path for the next little while.
You will be aware that the Government has closed all cinemas in Australia along with many other businesses. So, our cinema is closed.
However, in our endeavour to continue the empolyment of our staff and to serve our community we will continue to operate and develop online functions.
Some things we are presently doing include:-
Our weekly newsletter from Beth with encouraging thoughts, ideas and news.
Enhancing Beth’s Emporium lamps, clothing and giftware online. Be sure to look us up at bethsemporium.com.au Exciting new stock will be added almost daily.
Providing Gift Vouchers which can be purchased online. These continue to make a wonderful gift which may be redeemed when we reopen in a few months or as a treat for yourself. Visit us at avocatheatre.com.au/gift
In the coming weeks and months we are striving to remain open and encourage anyone who is in need to reach out to us as we together face this unique situation.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Norman, Beth and the Team at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre
Dear Theatre Family,
Thank you for your lovely concern for us. We are up and running and have put extra layers of procedures into practice to protect you. We want to assure you that you are our Number 1 priority.
In light of the Coronavirus situation, I wanted to assure you that we are working to take extra care in order to promote the best possible health environment at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre.
Here’s a few things that you will notice….
See below for what we’re doing
We encourage you to use our sanitary hand washing station in the Foyer at your convenience.
We have increased our already diligent regular disinfecting and cleaning practices for your added protection
We are encouraging the use of credit/EFTPOS cards instead of cash for purchases
Additional signage has been placed in our bathrooms and around encouraging all patrons to thoroughly wash their hands and practice good hygiene.
In line with recent government advice for public events we are now capping attendances to meet these guidelines. This allows for customers to sit further apart & to actively practice social distancing.
We’re lovingly encouraging both staff and patrons who feel unwell, or who are showing cold or flu-like symptoms, to stay at home and not to attend the theatre.
